Project management
The Projects home screen is the first screen you see after logging in. It lists all your projects and lets you create, open, or delete them.
Create a project
- Click New Project on the Projects home screen.
- Choose a building type and creation source (Blank or Start from CAD).
- Enter a project name (e.g. "Sharma residence G+1") and optional description.
- You are taken directly to the Plans workspace.
The project is saved automatically. You do not need to press a save button.
Open an existing project
- On the Projects home screen, find the project card.
- Click the card to open it — Jodu takes you to the workspace that was last active for that project.
Create and restore checkpoints
Checkpoints let you save a named project state before a major design change. They are separate from ordinary Undo, which keeps only the recent editing history.
To create one:
- Open the project workspace.
- Click the project name in the top bar and choose Checkpoints….
- Click Create checkpoint, enter a clear name, and click Create.
To return to one:
- Open Checkpoints… again.
- Find the named checkpoint and click Restore.
- Review the confirmation and click Restore checkpoint.
Restoring replaces the current design with the saved BuildingModel state and reloads the workspace. The restore is recorded as one new revision, so you can use Undo afterward to return to the state from immediately before the restore. Generated PDFs, CAD files, and 3D artifacts are not restored as part of a checkpoint.
Older entries that were created before restorable checkpoints were introduced remain visible but are marked unavailable because no model snapshot was saved.
Export metadata and title block
The title block appears on exported Plan drawings and drawing-set PDFs. Export readiness checks metadata such as project name, owner, project/drawing/sheet numbers, revision, people responsible for the issue, professional licence, and local authority. The current Site workspace is for site evidence and North angle; it does not contain a Title Block panel. If an export reports missing metadata, resolve it through the project/drawing-set metadata controls available in your deployment before issuing the PDF.
| Field | Used on PDF |
|---|---|
| Project name | Sheet header |
| Owner | Sheet header |
| Address | Sheet header |
| Project number | Title block cell |
| Drawing number | Title block cell |
| Sheet number | Title block cell |
| Revision | Title block cell |
| Revision date | Title block cell |
| Drawn by | Title block cell |
Delete a project
- On the project card, click the three-dot menu (⋯) and choose Open details.
- Scroll to the Delete project section and confirm.
This action is irreversible. All drawings, storeys, and exported files for the project are permanently removed.
