Plan shortcuts and overlays
Use the ? button in the Plan header to open the in-app Keyboard shortcuts panel. The panel is a reference overlay; it is not a bottom toolbar.
Tool activation shortcuts
Single-key shortcuts are ignored while Ctrl/Cmd is held or while focus is in a text field. Aspect-scoped shortcuts only arm a tool when that aspect is active.

| Key | Tool |
|---|---|
| Esc | Select; also cancel the current draft |
| M | Dimension |
| X | Trim |
| F | Mirror |
| O | Offset |

Array and Site Systems have no shortcut. Site Systems remains reachable from every Plan aspect.

These are context-specific modifiers. There is no global magnet toggle.
Trim modes
Press X, then choose a visible mode: Segment, Extend, Split, or Open passage. The mode determines the picks:
- Segment — pick two cut points and remove the segment between them.
- Extend — pick a wall end, then the wall it should reach.
- Split — pick a point on a wall to divide it.
- Open passage — pick the two edges of the intended doorless opening.
There is no Shift+click trim modifier. Use the mode selector.
Match properties shortcuts

| E | Capture the source style from the selected entity |
| Y | Arm the syringe after capture |
| Enter | Apply the captured style to queued targets |
| Esc | Disarm the syringe |
See Match properties for the full workflow.

Cancel and reset
Press Esc to cancel the current draft and return to Select. If there is no draft, it deselects the current selection. Switching tools also resets the previous tool's draft state.
Overlay toggles
Use the canvas view-settings control (eye/gear) for display overlays.
| Overlay | Effect |
|---|---|
| Area | Room names and areas |
| Structure grid | Structural grid axes and grid context |
| Ref images | Uploaded underlays |
| CAD underlay | CAD drawing backdrop (off unless tracing) |
| Openings | Door and window type labels |
| Warnings | Diagnostic glyphs |
Canvas themes
The same view-settings control offers Draft cream, White, and Dark themes. Theme changes are visual only; they do not change model geometry.
