Schedules
Schedules in Jodu are tabular reports derived from the current building model revision. Refresh after model changes to load the latest schedule rows.
Opening schedules
The Doors, Windows, and Ventilators tabs group openings by type mark (such as D1 or W1) and let you trace individual instances back to the 2D plan. Handing does not create a new type. A door type lists how many leaves are LH, RH, or a pair, and each instance names the room it opens into. LH means the hinges are on the left when you stand on the side the leaf swings away from.

How do I trace an opening or room back to the plan?
- Open the Doors, Windows, or Rooms schedule tab.
- Click on any item row or expand an opening type group.
- Click the Show in plan action icon next to the instance.
- Jodu automatically switches to the Plan workspace, selects the active storey, and zooms in with the element selected and highlighted.
How do opening marks work?
Openings with matching kind, rough size, sill height, and filling specification share a type mark in the current model revision. Hinge side and swing side stay on the instance; they do not split the type:
- D1, D2, D3: Main doors, bedroom doors, toilet doors.
- W1, W2, W3: Standard 3-track sliding windows, bedroom windows, kitchen windows.
- V1, V2: Toilet ventilators with louvered glass.
Tip: You can toggle the Openings overlay in the Plan canvas view menu to display these type marks (e.g.
D1,W1) directly on your 2D drawings.
How do I export a schedule?
- Choose a schedule tab and a level, or All levels.
- Open Export and choose PDF or CSV. Opening tabs also offer CSV installation list.
- The PDF includes full specifications and continues long tables onto additional pages. Door, window, and ventilator PDFs include type summaries, elevations, and an installation appendix with instance locations, handing, the room a swing opening opens into, and source IDs. A door PDF also totals the authored hardware set. Doors without a set read Not specified and are left out of those totals. Set the hardware set on a door in the Finishes door editor, for that door or for every door of its type. Role suggestions only fill the editor; they are not written until you apply them.
Export includes all rows for the selected level. Search only narrows the on-screen inspection; it is not applied to export. Common/unassigned rows appear only under All levels. A stair appears under either level it connects.
Files show the project, source model revision, generation date, scope, and draft status. They are Draft / model-derived; use Sheets for formal Drawing Sets. Type marks identify designs; instance labels such as D1.1 identify placements. Marks may renumber after edits and apply only to the stated revision. If the model changes before export, refresh the schedule and try again.
PDF lengths and areas use the selected workspace unit family. CSV geometry stays numeric in metres/m² (width_m, area_m2, etc.), with display-unit columns alongside it. CSVs open in spreadsheet applications. Finish rates retain their INR/m² basis. Missing selections are labelled Not specified, and unresolved references retain an ID. Opening sizes are model openings, not fabrication cut sizes or verified site measurements. Wall schedule area is geometric area, not net payable plaster or masonry quantity; finish areas do not include purchase wastage. Room finish areas are the same resolved finish rows, grouped by room. Skirting run is the room perimeter minus the widths of its doors, and is shown only for rooms bounded entirely by walls; open-sided rooms show a dash.
How do I refresh or resolve schedule findings?
Schedules display the model revision currently loaded in your browser. If you made changes in another workspace:
- Click the Refresh button at the top right of the schedule table.
- If any row shows a yellow warning (such as Missing sill height or Unassigned finish), click on the warning badge to jump directly to the relevant tool or aspect to fix it.
- Refresh the schedule once the change is saved.
