House Program

The Program is the professional requirements list for a house: the individual spaces needed, their priorities and area ranges, useful groupings, and desired relationships. It can be prepared before the plot or plan exists and remains editable throughout the project.

Program is optional. You can open Plans and draw normally without completing it.

Start a Program

Open Program in the project views, then choose:

• Start blank to add requirements one at a time; or
• a 1BHK, 2BHK, or 3BHK template as an editable starting point.

A template only applies while the Program is empty. This prevents an existing professional brief from being silently merged or replaced.

Add and edit needs

Each need is one desired space instance, such as Bedroom 1 or Kitchen. Edit the name and target area directly in the row, or select a row to edit everything else in the inspector:

• type and required/preferred/optional priority;
• preferred storey;
• minimum, target, and maximum clear area;
• minimum clear dimension;
• orientation, light, ventilation, wet-area, privacy, accessibility, exterior access, Vastu preference, and professional note.

Use groups for suites, zones, or open-plan combinations. Link pairs of needs in the relationship list — adjacency, near, separation, direct-access, and visual-connection intent — or open the collapsed matrix view for the full grid.

Changes save automatically after a short pause and the header shows the save state; press Ctrl/Cmd+S to save immediately. If someone or another session has changed the project first, Jodu asks you to reload current truth instead of overwriting it.

Fulfilment

Fulfilment is evidence derived from explicit links to exact Plan Spaces. It is not an automatic approval:

• a need is fulfilled when at least one current Space is linked;
• one open-plan Space may fulfil more than one need;
• one need may deliberately link to more than one Space;
• deleting a linked Space makes the need unresolved;
• copied or duplicated Spaces start unlinked.

In Plans, open Program, choose needs, then place an exact room or select an existing Space and choose Link chosen. Unlink removes the selected Space's Program links in one undoable edit.

Program and outputs

Only authored Plan Spaces supply fulfilment evidence. Program is preserved in .jodu package interchange, project duplication, and checkpoints.
